Young Leaders Program: Audience interaction Workshop in Bethlehem, 2nd and 3rd of February 2018

On the 2nd and 3rd of February, the Young Leaders program organized a workshop on the interaction with audiences and the use of different media.

Participants travelled to Bethlehem to attend their third workshop in the third generation of the program. As all workshops in this program, the event was organized by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) together with their partner, the Women’s Affairs Technical Committee (WATC).

In interactive sessions spanning over the whole weekend, the Young Leaders learned to identify characteristics of audiences and their nature, as well as behavior patterns in crowd reactions. Drawing on their experiences from prior workshops, the participants practiced these new-found skills with their peers in communicative sessions. Within the comfortable learning environment, they could address each other’s strength as well as weaknesses in public speaking and improve upon them. Guest lecturer Ms. Maison Al-qawasmi, journalist and feminist activist, joined the team on the second day to impart her knowledge of public speaking, campaigning and clear communication to the Young Leaders.

After extensive practice within the group, the participants left with a new found sense for public interaction and ready to utilize their fresh insights within their personal projects.
